These double-handed rods range in size from 13 to 18 feet and are, as a single rod in three or four pieces depending on your choice. A paired rod on the other hand, gives the angler the choice of two separate rods, one with a stiffer and another with a softer action so that the angler is always prepared for the challenge of different seasons, different rivers and different fishing conditions.

A combination rod gives the angler a choice of two different lengths of rod, which affords him versatility in his choice and size of rivers. The paired and combination rods are an excellent choice for the angler who has a busy fishing year exploring different seasons and conditions.

Carron rods perform short casts with ease but equally cast longer distances with perfect presentation whilst floating or sunk line fishing.

The 13 and 14 foot rods are recommended for the smaller to medium sized rivers or summer fishing, particularly when complimented with a compatible Carron Jetstream Spey line.
The 15 and 16 foot are ideally suited for most salmon rivers in all seasons.
The 17 and 18 foot rods are probably recommended for the more experienced angler and larger rivers, giving good line control for long distances.
